25th Commemorative Festival of passing Choi Yong Sul Dojunim

International Korean Hapkido Hapkiyusul Seminar

After the great successful 20th Commemorative seminar of passing Choi Yong Sul Dojunim in 2006, this year it has been organized the 25th by the Yong Sul Kwan - Korean Hapkido Hapkiyusul Headquarters. Instead of trainings on the mountain, this year the festival was done in Kumsan, a small city were Kim Yun Sang Dojunim began his first trainings with Choi Yong Sul Dojunim. People came from different contries to pay respect at Choi Yong Sul Dojunim's grave in Taegu and to train in the Korean Hapkido Hapkiyusul. Trainings were directed by Kim Yun Sang Dojunim: excelent lessons and amazing show. The organization of all seminar was done by Jarrod Allan Taylor.

Besides koreans martial artists, attendants came from 8 countries: Italy, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Brazil, USA and Canada. For Italy: Andrea Vitali, Mirko Salvatore Laquidara and Alessandro De Fini.

11 trainings were done (at 6-8 am and at 6-8 pm). There were also the possibilities to make black belt Dan exams. During the festival the Yong Sul Kwan organized tours to mountains and korean temples.

Next dates of international trainings: Europe (summer 2012, dates have to be fixed) and Australia (2013, to commemorate 10th year of Kim Yun Sang Dojunim came in Australia).  

It was a great experience to train again in South Korea practising the Korean Hapkido Hapkiyusul. Thank to all the organization and a special thank to M° Jarrod Allan Taylor who made it at the best.
